Running a health and wellness store means we get to meet people from all walks of life. Yesterday, I had a truly unforgettable encounter with a lovely family.
An elderly gentleman, arriving in a wheelchair, came into our showroom accompanied by his son, daughter-in-law, and 5-year-old grandchild. They had reached out earlier from a US phone number and made the trip down specifically to find a solution for his seating discomfort.
A Little Misunderstanding, but a Perfect Match
When they first arrived, I initially thought he was interested in our mini elliptical machine! I quickly offered him a chair to test it out. But the uncle looked at me and kindly asked: "If I'm just buying a cushion, do I still need to try the machine?"
I laughed and felt a bit shocked at my own misunderstanding! I quickly reassured him, "Oh! Of course not! Let's just focus on finding the exact cushion that makes you feel supported."
Keeping It Real: Relief vs. Cure
During our chat, the gentleman mentioned he had undergone an operation and asked a very important question: "Will this cushion cure my pain?"
I believe in absolute honesty with my customers. I told him straight away:

💡 Pro-Tip: Your tailbone should always align with the back, higher-contoured side of the cushion before the donut opening. Putting the cushion on the wrong side completely defeats the purpose of pressure offloading.
