Preparing for Surgery with Certainty, Not Last-Minute Stress
When you are preparing for a medical procedure, the last thing you want is last-minute uncertainty.
Earlier today, a young working professional walked into our 261 Waterloo Street showroom. She shared that she has an upcoming operation scheduled for October 1st.
Instead of scrambling at the last minute or ordering a cushion online and hoping it works, she decided to visit us in person to test our equipment and prepare her recovery setup in advance.
Her plan is twofold: use the setup at home during her post-surgery recovery, then move it to her office chair once she returns to work.
The In-Store Testing Experience
Post-surgery comfort isn't one-size-fits-all. What looks comfortable in an online photo might be too soft, too firm, or the wrong shape for long periods of sitting.
During her visit, we systematically tested different setups:
- Testing lumbar and donut setups: She tested our lumbar support cushion paired with our donut seat cushion. The moment she sat down, she felt the difference: lower-back support combined with pressure relief.
- Comparing the options: I encouraged her to test our other models, including the 45 cm donut cushion and 40 cm blue cushion. After comparing them side by side, she confirmed that the original lumbar support and ergonomic donut set gave her body the best support.
- Inspecting the quality: She unzipped the breathable sports-mesh covers, inspected the high-density memory foam, and practised re-zipping the covers. We also reviewed the care instructions and confirmed that the outer covers are machine washable for post-operative hygiene.
Before leaving, we provided printed care and maintenance instructions, along with a complimentary medical relief patch sample to support her recovery journey.
